VOLUNTEER

The African American Museum of Rhode Island (AAMRI) invites community members to become part of our work to preserve, share, and celebrate African American history in Rhode Island. Volunteers play an essential role in helping us create a welcoming and engaging museum experience for visitors while supporting the preservation of stories that shape our collective history.

Whether greeting visitors at the front desk, assisting with events, supporting educational programs, or helping with community outreach, volunteers are an important part of AAMRI’s mission to uplift the voices, contributions, and lived experiences of African Americans in our state.
