The African American Museum of Rhode Island is guided by a dedicated team committed to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the stories of African American life in Rhode Island. Our staff brings together expertise in history, community engagement, research, and cultural programming to ensure that the experiences, contributions, and voices of African Americans are documented and celebrated.

Through exhibitions, educational programming, archival work, and community partnerships, the AAMRI staff works to create a welcoming space where history is accessible, meaningful, and connected to the present. The museum’s work is rooted in collaboration with the communities whose stories we help preserve.
